Netflix has some good shows, including "The Crown"

I think I’m one of the few people in Belarus that actually uses Netflix. For those that don’t know it is a huge online library of films and TV shows. It has around 86 million subscribers worldwide. For me, it is a much better option than Zala TV for instance.

One of the latest ‘Netflix originals’ is a part-British, part-American show called The Crown. Chronicling Elizabeth II reign from the 1940s to the modern day. I must confess that I love it!! The production is stylish, the storylines are factual, the language harks back to a bygone era and the accents are superb.

I think it is worth signing up for one free month for this series alone.  You can cancel at any time.

I very much enjoy being able to use fullscreen and not have to worry about ads, or pop-ups or buffering.  On top of this, Netflix is also a great resource to practice your English. Especially if you find a series you like you can watch it again and again; one time with subtitles another time without and because each show provides a specific context for the vocabulary you probably won’t need to reach for google translate all the time!
