My life in numbers

Aims:

  • Allow students the opportunity to reveal more about themselves in a fun and friendly environment

  • Practice question forming

Level:

  • pre-intermediate and above

Activity:

  • Write 5 numbers up on the board that have personal significance to you.

  • Ask Sts to guess what could be the significance of these numbers. Elicit as many guesses as you can. Encourage creative thinking! You can make some harder to guess than others.

  • Reveal the significance of the numbers. Then ask Sts to think of their numbers.

VARIATIONS:

  • Change the amount of numbers. Divide the group into two teams.
